The Bayview Hunters Point Farmers’ Market
entered its second year this Spring (2008). They were having difficulty
attracting the community to visit the market to purchase inexpensive,
locally grown, and fresh produce. They needed messaging and a new look.
For their logo we used the iconic Hunter’s Point Sundial and incorporated
traditional African quilting symbols into the fruit designs. We worked
with the community and incorporated photos from youth groups to create
memorable and colorful posters and door hangers. All together we created
a brand that reflects this vibrant community.
